Org. Setting and Reporting
This position is located in the Medical Section, United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), Naqoura. The incumbent will report to the Chief of Medical Section and Head Nurse or their designates.
Responsibilities
A-Clinical Duties:
Ensure smooth day-to-day operation at walk-in clinic for civilian patients and coordinate with UNIFIL Hospital team in emergency cases.
Provide Nursing care including but not limited to: Patient reception and guidance, Recording Medical Data, IV insertion; IM, IV and SC injections, Dressings, ECG , Vital signs observation and recording, Blood Drawing, …
Enter Patients Data and Upload reports on Earthmed System.
Assist in the Medical examination for Civilian Staff Members.
Assist in providing health promotion program and in addressing work environment and occupational health issues.
Assist Doctors in all assigned tasks.
Assist in referring patients when and as required.
B-Medical Administrative duties:
Assist both Civilian Medical Officer and Chief Medical Officer in following United Nations established policies and procedures regarding medical clearances and Sick Leave issues.
Perform other related duties as required.
Competencies
Professionalism: Knowledge of occupational nursing requirements, treatments and procedures. Knowledge of Public and Community Health practice including health promotion and programs and diseases prevention. Certified as Advanced Life Support provider in order to respond to Medical emergencies; Provide first care to patients and prepare for treatment. Knowledge of major medical office equipment and ability to use them in emergency situations.

Education
Bachelor degree in Nursing Sciences is required.
Lebanese National registration and license in nursing are required.
Advanced life support certificate is desirable.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in nursing is required.
Experience in medical administration field within the United Nations organizations is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is desirable.
Assessment
Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise, which may be followed by competency-based interview.
